Day #2....

Day 2: Love is Kind

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.    Ephesians 4:32

Today's Dare:

In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

*Yesterday I was able to make it through the day without saying anything negative to David. I also skipped ahead a little bit and took it a step further with today's dare as well. David came home and was sick so while he rested, I went and got Chicken Noddle soup for him as well as made a grilled cheese sandwhich to go with it...*

Start of the 40 Day Love Dare...

Good afternoon again.... I know that I said I wouldn't be posting again till after we get back but I have come up with an awesome idea of something I'd like to try....

After viewing the movie "Fireproof" when it came out in 2008, I always knew that the 40 Day Love Dare is something that I'd like to work on... It just so happens I am with the most amazing guy but I am doing this to grow us stronger together...

I dont believe you need to wait till you "hard times" in order to try this... I am doing this simply just because...  I may not update this everyday but I will recap what I miss... I plan on keeping a written journal to go along with this as well....

Anywho with that being said, today is Day #1....

Day #1: Love is Patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Ephesians 4:2 NIV

Todays Dare:

The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It's better to hold your tounge than to say something you'll regret....

Day after Christmas

Good Afternoon!! I hope everyone had a great Christmas. My weekend was wonderful and Christmas was amazing! I only have 2 1/2 work days left and then David and I will be on a plane to Disney... It also just so happens to be his birthday on Friday as well. :) I am very excited!!

Saturday we had an amazing Christmas party/dinner. Our friends and family joined us and it went so smooth... All the food was delicious and the time with friends/family is priceless....

Christmas morning David and I got up early, opened gifts and then he made us a very yummy breakfast! :) We had to go to his work for a lil bit but after that we went to his parents to celebrate over there... They went way too far with gifts... It was very nice of them!

Today I am at work with nothing to do so I am updating this blog and then Im off to research some coupon deals... Tonight will be busy with getting laundry caught up, house cleaned, tree down and preparing for Disney... I probably wont be posting on here until after we get back from Disney...

I hope that everyone has a very safe and Happy New Year... I will see ya again on Jan. 4, 2013....

MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

Good Morning

Good Morning,

I apologize for not keeping up with this as often as I should but I decided this morning that I am going to try and keep this updated more often. It was a very busy weekend and this week has been just as hectic. I have been doing tons of couponing and now that the sale at Harris Teeter is over, I will be working on stocking up my binders again so I am prepared for the next sale.

I have to say that I was very excited with this sale. It was Super Triples so any coupon $1 tripled to $3 and anything below $1 tripled as well... Nothing like shopping with coupons that make lots of items free :) Puts a BIG SMILE on my face! I spent a total of $105 but my retail was $551.... NOT BAD :)

Below you will see my photos of my shopping trips (7 to be exact lol)....

HOPE YOU ENJOY! If you have any questions, please ask. Happy Couponing everyone! :)

Monday

Wow, what a weekend...

Friday after work I worked on the house for a little while and then we enjoyed a nice together. We had company come over and then Saturday was the race...

Needless to say I had a little too much fun tailgating and we didn't get to see the race. It was a blast!! We played lots of card games and of course some flip cup. It was definitely much needed to be able to relax.

Sunday I went grocery shopping/couponing and then cleaned house and got laundry done up. It was a very nice weekend!

Today is Monday and its raining.... Its so nasty outside. I am ready for pjs and bed. I dont feel good today. I spoke to the nurse at my Dr and I go on Monday for my procedure to see if they can find me answers. I sure hope so....

Hope everyone has a blessed day... xoxo

Update 10.12.12

Wow, I really need to get on here more and post. Things have been very busy in our house. Between work and the Dr, I really dont have a lot of free time except on the weekends but we are normally on the go all weekend.

I had blood work done on Monday and got my results on Wednesday. The nurse said that my level was 14.7 and they want it over 10 so that was good news... I am just waiting for them to schedule an outpatient procedure that I need to have done and then we will see after that...

This weekend is going to be fun. Tomorrow we are tailgating at the race and then going to watch it. :) Im so excited! I love racing and I get to spend the day with my love... What great times :)

This week I have been very busy clipping a huge stack of coupons that my mom gave me this past weekend in Virginia. I finally got all of them clipped and sorted. Its now time to start planning some shopping trips. I plan to go to a few stores in the morning while David is playing hockey. I have been taking pictures of my trips and I will post them on here so you can see what I have in my stockpile so far :)

Well thats all for now. Have a blessed day! And remember, Keep the faith.... <3

Not so good morning

Today is Thursday, September 20, 2012. Its a not so good morning today.... Last night I was up all night coughing and not feeling well. I finally made it to bed around 3am. I was up bright and early and at work.... This day just isnt getting any better it seems....

Right now I have a lot on my mind and I am in real need of prayer. I am not going to go into details but I just have a few things I need help with and I know that God is the one who can help. So I am sending up lots and lots of prayers this morning.... Please God hear my prayers and help get through this time....

I will try and update this again hopefully tomorrow... If not, it will be next week.... May God bless!

PCOS

Ok, so this is a little off topic but its something I need to write about. I have not had health insurance since 2008 and I just got my health insurance through my new job and I went to the Dr. on Aug. 2, 2012. I went to the gyno because first of all I needed a checkup and I was having very unusual periods. So unusual that for almost 3 years I didnt have a period at all. On Dec. 31, 2011 my period came. It has since came every other month. I know that this is not normal so I asked the Dr. He really didnt seem to have an explination besides that my endo I had in 2007 could be the cause. Well needless to say, Sunday Aug. 6, 2012 I started having sharp pains in my right side. I didnt want to go back to the Dr. so I decided to try and wait the pain out. Come Wednesday am, I could hardly walk so I knew it was time. I called the Dr. office and they were able to get me in right away with a new Dr. Upon arriving I was taken to the ultrasound room where upon review, I could see I had cysts back. The tech confirmed what I already knew... After the ultrasound I was taken to the exam room but the nurse. When the Dr. came in (I was seeing a new Dr. because the one I had seen was out) and reviewed my chart, she knew right away what was going on. She diagnosed me with PCOS. For those of you who dont know what PCOS is, its poly cystic ovarian syndrome. It is not curable but treatable... Well after a long talk and her describing everything I've been going through, I was finally relieved that this all made sense. I am on 2 medications at the moment, with a few more on standby but even with all of that, I am not going to be a victim. I will fight this fight and get myself back to "as normal as possible." I have an amazing boyfriend who is my rock. He has helped me through this and even though its only been a week, I do feel a little better because know I know whats going on and this medicine can help me. My hopes of a family are not out of the way or reach. One day I do plan to have a family. It make take me a lot longer but I will not give up. "The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you..."

Well I must get back to work and get something accomplished. LOL! :) Thanks for stopping by.

Introduction...

Well I have finally created a spot where I could post about my couponing, crafting, family, photography, etc.

Today I have finally finished getting my coupon binder organized and now all that is left to do is put away my coupons in their sections. After printing tons of coupons, clippping them, researching great deals, etc. I am finally ready to file them so I can plan a shopping trip :)  I have started a list of things that I would like to purchase and I plan on going to the stores this weekend and see what I can do. :)

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my new blog.
